Kitchen Table Conversations
Voices of Cook aims to strengthen community engagement in the democratic process by providing a venue that encourages the discussion of ideas, concerns and needs in an open and respectful setting.
In order to do this we use a 'Kitchen Table Conversations' process and a survey to gather and present community ideas and concerns in a Listening Report. These will be supported by events such as forums and webinars, as well as informal gatherings such as coffee chats, politics in the pub and 'democracy walks'.

Volunteer Catchups
As we grow our community, we are fast outgrowing our catch up locales. Having started at The Laneway in Caringbah South, our lively conversation and friendly camaraderie amongst like-minded people has ensured regular get togethers throughout the Shire.
Have you joined our ‘Voices of Cook Members’ WhatsApp group? It’s a great way for volunteers and supporters to stay up-to-date with announcements from the VoC committee, share volunteering tips, information and ideas about how to promote our group generally.
It’s also just about getting to know each other, and importantly, how to discover ways to have fun together!
